Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-17

CalcClearly ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you use this site, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We don't require an account to use any calculator on this site. The numbers you enter into a calculator are processed in your browser during ordinary use. If you request an emailed PDF, we receive your email address and calculator inputs to create and deliver the report, as explained below.

Like most websites, we automatically collect some basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring site. This is collected through analytics tools and is used in aggregate, not to identify you personally.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the calculators are used: which pages get visited, whether people reach a result, and whether they share it or move on to a related tool. We record the name of the calculator and the type of interaction, never the numbers you type in. Google processes this data on our behalf, and you can read more in Google's privacy policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage is denied by default until you make a consent choice. Google Analytics may still receive cookieless measurement signals. Cookieless requests can still include technical information, such as your IP address and browser information; cookieless does not mean anonymous.

Cookies

We may use cookies or similar technologies for basic site functionality, analytics and advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

Advertising

CalcClearly uses Google AdSense to display ads on this site. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Advertising privacy choices

Where Google's European consent message is displayed, you can consent or open the available settings to decline or manage individual options. To change or withdraw your choice later, use the "Privacy and cookie settings" link provided by Google's consent message on pages where it is available.

For visitors in applicable US states, Google's privacy message provides a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link where available. Use this link to submit your advertising opt-out choice to Google.

These advertising privacy controls are available on pages that load Google's advertising code, such as our calculator pages. This privacy policy page and our search and category pages do not load advertising code. If you cannot find the relevant control, please contact us at admin@calcclearly.com for assistance.

Children's privacy

CalcClearly is not directed at children under the age of 13 and isn't intended for their direct, unsupervised use. Some calculators, such as the Kids BMI Calculator, are designed to be used by a parent or caregiver on a child's behalf, not by the child themselves. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights (EU/EEA visitors)

If you're located in the EU or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, get in touch through our contact page. Cosmabella LTD is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy.

US State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to our processing of your personal information, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information and to obtain a portable copy of certain information. You may also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising.

Our use of advertising technologies such as Google AdSense may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under certain US state privacy laws. These terms can apply even when personal information is not exchanged for money.

Where Google's US privacy controls are available, you can submit an advertising opt-out through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. When Google applies restricted data processing, it limits how it uses personal information and serves non-personalized ads. Opting out does not remove advertising from the site.

For users in applicable US states, Google receives Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals directly and applies restricted data processing to those advertising requests. This describes Google's handling of GPC for its advertising services.

To submit a privacy request, email admin@calcclearly.com or use our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling an access, correction, or deletion request. Where applicable law allows, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification of their authority.

If we decline your request, you may contact us at the same email address to appeal where an appeal right applies. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights granted by applicable privacy law.

Contact form

If you reach out to us through our contact page, we'll use the email address and message you provide only to respond to your inquiry. We won't add you to a mailing list. Our hosting provider, Vercel, and email provider, Resend, process the submission to deliver your message to our support inbox.

PDF reports by email

When you choose to email yourself a PDF, your email address, the calculator name, and its inputs are sent to our server on Vercel. We use those inputs to generate your report and send it through Resend to the address you provide. Depending on the calculator, the report may include financial or health-related information. Only request a report for information you are comfortable receiving by email, and check the recipient address.

This is a delivery request, not a newsletter subscription. We do not keep a separate calculator-input database or send an internal marketing copy of new PDF requests. Our email provider processes the recipient address and report to deliver the email; delivery records and message content may be retained under its service policies. Your own email provider may also store the delivered report.

Newsletter

If you join our newsletter, we collect your email address to send CalcClearly news and tool updates. Your signup is processed through Vercel and Resend and delivered to our administrator's inbox. We keep your subscription information while you are subscribed. You can unsubscribe or request deletion by emailing admin@calcclearly.com. Requesting a PDF or sending a contact message does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

Service providers and retention

We use Vercel for hosting and Resend for email delivery. These providers process information needed to operate their services, including technical logs and email delivery records. Their processing may take place outside your country. See Vercel's privacy policy and Resend's privacy policy. Contact correspondence is kept as needed to handle your inquiry. Contact us to request deletion of records we control; provider backups and operational records follow the providers' retention policies.

For Google's collection and use of data, including cookies, IP addresses and other identifiers used for advertising and measurement, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Third-party links

Some pages may link to external sites or resources. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so we'd suggest reviewing their policies separately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site grows. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
